Many things are happening with the Chapter. Two new committees have been formed: By-Laws Review and Death Benefit Fund Overhaul. A feasibility study is being conducted between the Federation and Chapter to incorporate the Chapter's welfare function within the Federation - effectively merging the two organizations into one. More to follow on these committees over the next few months, so stay tuned!

In addition, the January 18 meeting will be a post-holiday meeting with a meal served. If you attended the January meeting last year, you know that a hot meal and appetizers were served. So make it a point to come to the January meeting this year. Directions will be posted on the information page. Bob is planning on inviting Bishops Fleesey and MacDonnell, as well as Federation Chaplain Rev. Bryan The Credo of the Bergen Chapter
"The primary purpose of the Organization is to assist in every way, financial or otherwise, cases of genuine distress amongst the Brother Knights in good standing of affiliated councils. It shall consider and promote all matters of general Catholic and patriotic interest and adopt such measures as shall be deemed necessary to promote same, and encourage the participation of affiliated councils in the furtherance of these purposes."

Marty Kenney stepped down as Chapter Chairman on November 3. Vice Chairman Dominick Stavola declined moving up to Chairman. At the November 16 meeting, a special election was to have been held. But since a quorum did not exist, Former Chairman and Current Treasurer Bob Tarantula was appointed by the Trustees to serve a third term as Chairman. Bob then appointed Don Ulisse, FDD, to be the acting Treasurer. There will be a special election at the January 18 meeting for Chairman and Treasurer.
